#4 Fashion Language

Cathy Horyn, one of NY Times fashion reporters writes in this blog post, from March 5th, about Clare Waight Keller's second collection for Chloé. She describes it very well, and you get a great idea of what the collection looked like, even though the images only shows two looks. You also clearly understand what she liked and disliked.

"Clare Waight Keller may have found her groove at Chloé. After a tepid start last season, the designer came back with a very strong collection full of distinctive color — pale pink, lemon, dusty blue, deep red, camel — and standout, pretty sportswear. Although she had a few clunker coats (too heavy) and weird leather culottes with crinkled hems, she created a look with cute jogging pants, airy sweaters with an underlayer of white lace showing, coats based on quilted linings, and some lovely lace tops and dresses. I especially liked that Ms. Keller was comfortable with the notion of a sweater and a skirt, doing them in the Chloé spirit."
